Great place! I love all the events they do and how it's family friendly.
They have concerts, horse racing, demolition derby venues and indoor exhibit areas for conventions.
This is a big complex that can accommodate small or large functions. Olympic size pool, baseball/softball diamonds for single games or major tournaments. Soccer practice and match fields to meet single matches or major tournaments as well.
Went to the annual demolition derby held here for the first time this past summer and had a wonderful time. The food selection may have been my favorite part but the mayhem and great views were also fun. It was a little hard to find parking though so arriving early wouldn’t be bad.
Admission is a little bit more than pools in Salt Lake County. Concessions are a bit more also. The one bad thing about Deseret Peak is no outside food or drink is allowed, making your stay a pricy one if you use the concessions. All Slat Lake County pools allow you to bring in your own food which makes it affordable for a family to stay at the pool all day.
Concert camping was all bug dust and sticker weeds. Had to sweep the dust off the truck to leave after a couple days. Pool is nice, grass was green in the concert area.
